Yann M'vila - target or not?

Would love to see him back here, but let's face it it's not happening with this lot running the show, Mvila would be a step up in class for the club, and may give the fans hope that we are going to try and chase down Leicester for the league title, nah, even if Yann only wanted 11 pounds an hour, and fish and chip supper, no way, do they move away from the Speakman/Harvey model.
Christ, you must be thick as fuck.

You totally don't understand 'the model' do you?

I mean realistically what can we afford? One top current wage of 20k ish? Thats probably not in his ballpark at the minute

I agree but I don't think many are paying attention to that. They are simply remembering how good he was for us, without considering what he's been like recently.
The team he played that many minutes for would absolutely take us apart.

He was playing in Europe ffs

Don’t think it will happen (he’s been burnt by us before) and I think he will get offers of higher wages elsewhere.

However, I think he would be brilliant. He’s played over 100 games in the past 3 seasons winning the Greek league and playing in Europe. A class above most of our team and a leader on the pitch.

I wouldn’t throw the wage structure out the window for him, but if a deal could be done, would he brilliant.

You don’t get the business model at all. He's totally wrong for our club. A good experienced player who would run rings round most defences is exactly the opposite of what we are trying to attract. At 33 (born on the same day I turned 14) he is positively ancient. We are trying to attracts teenage players who are to learn the hard way what a spanking is. Best way to develop them? Put them in a game, let them make a shitload of mistakes and get whupped 2-0 in the process. We have a generation of world-class talent in the making. We don't need decent experienced players messing it all up and actually haul us up the league and actually get us promoted. Heaven forbid.
