I thought the dugouts were strange mind. Totally exposed with no shelter...very strange. What sort of mickey mouse club has home fans sat right behind away dugout ffs.
I didn't see anything during the game and afterwards I walked around the ground with my lads, mingled with a lot of West Ham fans and had a few beers (reluntantly) in a bar (Sadlers Wells) close to the ground with a few mates and the inlaws. No trouble anywhereI decided against going today for this exact reason as my mate got hit in the face the last time I was there and I’m not willing to risk my young son facing this. Absolute scum bag fans
From a west ham fan, they were giving shit to Nordi for kicking off with our staff with a few 'wheys' from the crowd. Xhaka said something about showing respect which then escalated with one or two fans.Anyone actually know what was said?
I’m sure a few ‘wheys’ will have got that reaction just look at how he reacted when they were directed to him when we were behind v spurs. From a west ham fan, they were giving shit to Nordi for kicking off with our staff with a few 'wheys' from the crowd. Two sides to every story like so duno how close to the truth that is.
Depends what was said.Depending on what actually happened/was said, it smacks of being a bit unprofessional - getting involved with arguments with supporters
When they get relegatedI’m amazed there isn’t some sort of players dugout with a barrier
Be interesting if they get relegated when Millwall visit
One that releases bubbles for goals. What sort of mickey mouse club has home fans sat right behind away dugout ffs.
True (as I said in my post).Depends what was said.
You would think the size of the ground the fans wouldn’t need to be right on top of the teams or a screen separating themWhat sort of mickey mouse club has home fans sat right behind away dugout ffs.
I need to qualify my statement. As a captain, Granit has evolved considerably and has learned to compromise, becoming diplomatic.Granit is not the type to let himself or his team be insulted, and one thing is for sure: there is one field he will never be able to embrace, and that is a diplomatic career!![]()
Aye it’s ridiculous to be honestFind it baffling there's no premier league rule that there is a dugout of sorts separating the substitutes, coaching staff etc away from supporters

I know all clubs have a fair few numpties among their support, but West Ham seem to have more than their fair shareWe are talking about a club whose fans were caught on TV singing "Hitler is coming for you" to Spurs fans and got a free "educational" trip to Poland.
Also, did Kevin Kilbane get grief for reporting them for singing about disabled people?
Bloody hell, didn’t know thisWhen you read up on Xhaka upbringing and what his parents went through , his dad imprisoned and tortured for 3 year , it’s no wonder he’s probably hard as nails the shit he will have seen as a kid
Footballers are humans. If someone came into your place of work you place of work and shouted abuse at you and your colleagues you wouldn't take it.Depending on what actually happened/was said, it smacks of being a bit unprofessional - getting involved with arguments with supporters
The stewards were called but didn't react quickly or correctly. That's why VAR had to tell the ref to stop the game. The fan should have been removed.I’m not sure that what was said is massively significant as far as Granit’s behaviour is concerned. It’s apparent that there was some abuse and that it was of a serious nature to have led Granit to react in the way that he did. However, I would’ve thought that the correct option in such situations is to involve the stewards/police to deal with the behaviour of the fans in question. The seemingly hostile reaction and its sustained nature suggests to me that, as captain of Sunderland Granit needs to reflect on his behaviour.
