WWII Bar for Sunderland

Accidentally stumbled into the bar in Malta where Oliver Reed had his fatal heart attack about 25 years ago and all they played was the same "Hits From The War Years" CD on loop. Got hammered with a load of ex-pats and holidaymakers singing Long Way To Tipperary, Hang Out Our Washing On The Siegfried Line and other songs. Was a canny afternoon tbf in an odd sort of way. The bar owner managed to persuade me to part with 10 sheets for a copy of the CD and when I left saw they were selling it for a couple of quid on a market stall over the road.

Still got the CD if they want to borrow it.

I wanted to have a WW2 victory kitchen themed van for doing air shows in a Citroen van, decorated like a resistance van with 40’s songs belting out of an LP player.

All drinks served in enamel mugs and thick corned beef sarnies..
