Wrestling - Part 3

Just finished catching up on it, too late and tired to give my full rundown but I'll summarise by saying I think all things considered, it's the most boring Wrestlemania I think I've ever seen. Last year was shite, most of this year was the absolute pits. It could have been any PLE and give it three months and hardly anyone will be able to tell you anything that happened.

I’ve been to it. Just about to head off to Raw now. Had a great time but I love Vegas and the stadium is immense. Did Wrestlecon convention Friday and World on Saturday. Wrestlecon was fantastic stuff. Saturday was obviously poor but even that being actually in attendance it was an enjoyable evening. Absolutely loved it last night, not seen a ladder match live before either. Sounds awful sitting watching at home though with all the adverts and shit, in the stadium we got all the VT packages for every match and stuff. We got all the ladder match entrances. Would post a few snaps but don’t know how to on here, was sitting in section 245. Obviously saw two Saudis in their Saudi tops there both nights as well

I saw them too  Wrestlemania 42 on the back? Smelly tramps

Just caught up with maina , cm punk Vs Roman was a classic

Watching Raw....Have we went back to the bloodline , is this really the best that creative can think of

How do you manage to make the Raw after Mania as shite as that as well man.

It’s the absolute pits.
Again I thought it was a canny show. But being in attendance is totally different to watching on tv. Sol Ruca was/is good, they’ve not really any other returns or anything to do however. The worst thing, and I dunno if this was shown on Netflix, but in the arena as the show was starting they announced Lesnar as appearing. The Roman segment finished about 20 minutes before 3 hours and whole place was expecting Lesnar and it just finished. No idea why they mentioned him before the show of all it was meaning was what Heyman did

Raw isn't 3 hours anymore. Its about 2h 20 usually. Raw was decent, Sol Ruca is so good but I guess with another NXT TV special tonight they couldn't bring too many up at once. Jacob v Roman isnt the feud I was expecting but man I am glad they've pulled they trigger on it now.

I think Jacob & Punk have swapped shows now.

I thought it was terrible.

- An underwhelming Ethan Paige reveal
- The bloodline for the millionth time
- ‘The Vision’ & Rollins interaction again
- Iyo/Rhea v The Kabuki Warriors for the millionth time
- The Brock announcement that didn’t happen, like you said
- As much as I like him, the same CM Punk promo we get almost weekly

Sol Ruca was the only highlight

Jade Carville (sic ) is just f***ing terrible at everything.
Just doesn't get it, at all.

Brilliant match, yes.

And bad going back to the bloodline, no one wants that

Had on so Fatu was involved with Drew and Cody over the WWE title not long ago. Fatu beats Drew but now just wanders out and says he's facing Roman for the other title at the next PLE? Erm, eh?

He also says he wants the cars, rolex's, money etc etc. a baby-face doesn't say that 😂

Who the fuck is writing this shit?!

They are going with hes never had anything angle because hes been in prison. I'm actually really interested in where they go with this. Jacob is class

A bit late but my WM42 musings, I'll go in order:

Night 1
The first match was designed purely to give IShowSpeed TV time. The match itself was rushed and just filler really, should have been on a house show. The match was set up as Speed had fucked over LA Knight and the Uso's and at the end of it, they are saving him from a beating and helping him stand tall, WTF?
Jacob/Drew street fight seemed a little tame for me. Doesn't help when you've had a table bump at the end of the first match. Obvious winner with Drew off to film Highlander.
Women's tag titles fatal 4-way. As expected, a bit of a car crash due to having so many involved. Nia Jax is worse every week, another obvious winner with Paige returning.
Michael Cole is utter chod btw, he always has been but he's new levels these days.
Why do they paint AJ Lee as this visionary of women's wrestling? She's complete crap and needs to learn a few things from her Dad, CM Punk. Thankfully this was a short match against Becky who has now had stinkers in the last few months against AJ, Nikki Bella and Lyra - common denominator?
Gunther vs Seth was decent, predictable return from big Bron. Not sure why Seth entered the ring as if it were a COVID lockdown.
Shortest match of the night was the women's title match. Action was fairly decent but of course Judgement Day were going to get involved and again, as predictable as expected.
Orton/Cody would have been fine without McAfee being a comedy heel and Belly Roll of course showed up to set up a match at Backlash.
The adverts, jesus
The crowd was absolutely flat, again.
No backstage segments at all, it really felt like an average Raw or Smackdown show.

Night 2
Oba and Brock was fun but too short. Surprise retirement from Lesnar who appears to have stuck two fingers up at WWE and refused to be retired by Gunther. I enjoyed it.
Intercontinental title ladder match was a spot fest but also fun, Penta the right winner.
Trick/Sami - Everyone hates Sami and it's about time. Lil Yachty is painful.
Demon's entrance was a highlight but the match itself no better than what you'd expect to see on any show.
Jade Cargill can finally wrestle! Glad the title has been taken off her after the most boring reign since Stephanie Vaquer
Reigns/Punk felt a bit too long for me, with a bit of a bland finish. We didn't need another Roman reign...

All in all, the whole thing felt flat, boring, predictable and uncreative.

RAW
Snoozefest.

When did that happen? I think I counted 3 moves in the entire match. I only started counting half way through when I realised she'd only done 1 by that point!

I thought she looked better than usual (Mind, she is normally terrible) and looked convincing. That said, she must have hit the big boot/jumping kick about 17 times
