Wrestling - Part 3

Is Butch the first from the mens to come from NXT to Main Eventing a PPV?
Finn Balor winning the Universal title or Kevin Owens beating Cena I imagine, might be wrong like 😂 Balor definitely has been in a couple main events at a ppv.

Edit: McIntyre technically as well but in his 2nd stint.
Now that I think about it there’s loads 😂, Rollins, Ambrose, Reigns etc

I thought the main event was okay. Probably a good idea to build it around Honorary Ace Sami Zayn rather than Reigns as he's the hottest thing going right now.

Yeah it was another let down for me but I do appreciate the story telling they were doing, in ring it should have been a lot better than it was, same for the women, Triple threat was a million miles ahead of anything on that show tonight.

I'll give the PPV a generous 6/10 for the triple threat and for building the Main event around Sami, it wasn't the 10/10 I expected it to be but it wasn't a disaster neither so 6 is a fair one.

It was rumored among those that we spoke with that Reigns took exception to what he perceived as an unplanned spot between he and Kevin Owens. As he walked backstage, he mentioned possibly having a ruptured ear drum, and wanted the spot to go as originally planned. The exclamation was said to have been "expletive filled" and it was clear to everyone that Reigns wasn't happy.

Someone who hinted at this story on the F4W board this morning before Fightful reported it believes that this report is going a little too soft on Roman. This is what he added:

This is going a little soft on Roman's level of anger specifically toward KO. I've heard from many people there that they have never seen Roman as mad as he was and may have questioned KO's ability out loud.

Strange. Report that brock did not want to work with KO cake out last week and now this.
I’m sure KO is meant to be wrestling Reigns at Royal Rumble as well, wonder if it will be changed now?

Looks like Andrade has been out because he’s injured and not suspended the whole time like first thought after the Sammy situation.

Surprised to see Hangman back so soon, happy for him, really like Mox and him having a longer feud especially with the added In story of Moxley ko’ing him, Moxley falling down the side of the ramp was hilarious as well 😂

f***ing hell Regal sold that shit by MJF so hard he went back to being called Steve Regal 😂 what a great promo and a great way of getting Danielson eventually involved with the main title picture - "I'm going to have a title reign that makes Bruno Sammartino roll over in his shitty little grave" - MJF

Happy to see Ruby back as well, women starting to get more angles going which is good to see

Christ this Jade Cargill/Bow Wow stuff is shite just mentioned how good it is the women are getting more time/angles then I get this shite, he’s clearly going to pick an opponent for her just to get beat (unless it’s Sasha which it isn’t soooooo 🤷‍♂️)

Honestly didn’t think The Elite and Death Triangle would be able to keep my attention over 7 matches but we are 3 in and they have all been absolutely quality in different ways, interesting to see if they can keep it up (they probably will like 😂) PAC’s face must be minced after them knee’s.

A couple places saying Regal is WWE bound (backstage job) which doesn’t surprise me, mentioned it last week but other place’s saying he has a 3 year contract 😂😂😂 got to love the dirt sheets.

Not surprising. I really enjoyed his time in AEW, Man in the mask will be gutted 😂 the interesting thing is he’s going back as a scout/coach (as expected) wonder how many AEW talents he could possibly recommend having seen them first hand.

He'll go straight to NXT. It was well versed that the dream trio would be Heyman-HHH-Regal when Vince stepped down.

What needs to happen now is let NXT and Smackdown carry on as it is, and have literally all the Heyman guys - Ali, Moss etc - Put onto the same show so they can showcase their talent rather than being midcarders to the Bloodline every Friday night

Does anyone care about Bray Wyatt anymore? The build up to his return was quite decent but I feel like they’ve done nothing but back track on the hype. I don’t watch a lot of Smackdown or Raw (next to none) however I do read up on it and not once have I heard him mentioned and thought “I need to see this”. I did for his return, not since.

Just think they had a massive opportunity to strike while it was hot, with the other ‘characters’ to create a stable and it’s just went back to stale, silly angles with nothing happening.
