Oh right. That makes sense as I read an article (in an actual paper) in a pub on Saturday that they were going to make an issue out of concussion with him (listed as WWE COO Paul Levesque) and Chris Nowinksi quoted.

Still it was a one of those bizarre, flat endings that they do every once in a while that doesn't work. Pretty much pisses on "Curtis Axel" too, as you are all saying making it about HHH rather than him.
 
The most recent Impact Wrestling! show proves what the rewards can be in TNA if they do something right.

The last few weeks they have ran the "AJ Styles: Will he or won't he join Aces & Eights" storyline and it has been to be fair brewing seemingly toward Styles turning heel and joining Aces & Eights. And indeed last week he attacked Kurt Angle in his match with Mr.Anderson and again he attacked Kurt in this weeks episode in what was billed as his 'patching in'. He accepted the kutte which is a sleeveless leather jacket that all biker's wear and drank beer with Bully Ray and when Kurt came to the ring some of the gang held on to Angle whilst Bully Ray gave AJ a hammer which he hit Angle with. But with their backs turned he attacked D.O.C, Mike Knox and Garrett Bischoff. It was though the fans reaction which was amazing. They erupted when AJ attacked Aces & Eights. They went crazy.

But that does not mean he is a face either. He is very much a tweener. Which I think is the way to go. A tweener allows fans to choose if they want to support the wrestler or not. Faces and Heels basically tell the fans who to boo and who to cheer. And with it being AJ Styles I see this angle growing bigger and bigger and therefore the popularity.

Brilliant to see. And with the WWE really only doing what they can to stay at the top the gap I see may well close.
 
Now I am confused. This has been pasted on the Wikipedia entry for AJ Styles...

Practically Zero chance of AJ Styles ever going to WWE as he's well into his 30's and has serious heat with CM Punk (allegedly).

As for zero chance - never say never. Money talks.

I can't see WWE being all that bothered about him though. Wrong "look".
 
I've really enjoyed watching AJ over the years, but I feel like he's not evolved his style to deal with his age and his matches just aren't entertaining. Obviously he's shit in promos too, I can't see what he would have to offer WWE now, but as people say you never know what is around the corner.

It's a shame really, I think his career really has stagnated over the last 3 or so years. Same with Joe, to me they both should be doing a lot more with their careers.
