Worst home defeat at SoL

Win the next game and have a reasonable end to the season and it’ll be largely forgotten.

We were due a thumping this season, in a way glad that we’ve got it out the way.

The list of teams to have stuck five past us in recent seasons at home is shocking like.Coventry.Stoke ,Blackburn and now Forest hardly football world powerhouses that lot like.
Just twice European Cup winners! 😀
I don't know how they worked it out (there are other threads on the subject) but the match stats especially xG make for interesting reading...

Unbelievable "match momentum" bar chart 😱

I reckon Alex Neil coming back and f***ing us 5-1 was worse. Didnt Blackburn do us for five in our rudderless Championship season as well? That was canny shit.

Short memories.

We're Premier League and we're safe. It wasnt like we were outclassed it was a clusterfuck of bad luck, some bad defending and some individual errors. Put it in the bin and move on.

Nearly every home League One defeat felt loads worse than that too.

Excellent perspective

Was a bit like the Fulham game the way it just flipped after one miss. Rigg had a great chance like Mundle did against Fulham, we didn't take it and they scored 3 in the space of a few mins. Doesn't excuse the shit defending from the set pieces but its the margins of this league and we got hit with a bad one

Thats exactly it. Theres a section of our fans now who only know us winning most home games and beating the Mags. Expectation rises and people just expect it to continue. The PL is a tough tough league with the amount of money swilling around. You can lose 5-0 or lose 5-0 each week. Its the general direction we are going in thats the big thing. Signs are good.

Did we not ship 5 goals against 3rd Division Bolton the game before Streaky Johnson got sacked? Surely those days were even lower than last night.

That was at Bolton. The thread is about the worst home defeat at the SOL. But I’d agree because losing 5-1 in the third tier is clearly worse than a heavy Premier League defeat.

I know how they worked it out, particularly in the second half we had all the ball, although we did very little with it.
Forest clearly had more shots than us hence the xG. Not exactly rocket science.

Yeah it was at Bolton, fair enough. 0-6 in the 3rd division tho.
