Starts tomorrow at MIDDAY..... Worcester have asked for an extra hours rest after their floodlit game with Middlesex tonight. I imagine it will be the early hours before they get home and hopefully Durham can take advantage of their tiring schedule.

I expect Harmison to return in place of Onions who is away with the Lions. Plunkett can't be far away but perhaps this game comes just too soon for him. Di Venuto, Blackwell and Benkenstein all missed the game at Scotland yesterday but should return.

If we're to launch any kind of assault on the title this year I think this already is a must win game. They're the whipping boys so far and anything less than a win would be a big setback IMO.

I can't be the only one who can see Onions getting injured in this Lions game. He's only played 2(?) first class games in 18 months and England, who broke him in the first place, have nabbed him back already. I hope I'm wrong but I can see it all ending in tears.

However, it's good timing to have GBH back just for Onions leaving and if DiVa, Adn

(f***ing phone, I wasn't finished) But if DiVa, Benks and Blackwell all do miss future our batting is sacrily weak.
 
Another piece of good news, Stoneman has been cleared to play by a specialist! According to his Twitter page. Mind I imagine he'll have a game in the 2's before returning to 1st Team action. Maybe he'll be in the squad for Sunday's Pro40.....

Didn't think Stoneman played any kind of one day cricket? It's good to see our injured players are all getting back to fitness though.
 
From what ive seen so far Onons is looking strong, so confident hell be fine from the Lions game.
Now lets all put our hands together and hope Harmy gets his radar right and finishes this game in 3 days.

He'd be playing for Durham otherwise so what's the difference?

injury update

Liam Plunkett (quad) – Begun cricket training and will build up intensity over the next two weeks. Ready for t20 campaign.

Mark Stoneman (hand) – Playing 2XI cricket this week at Emirates Durham ICG.

Mark Davies (foot) - Continuing rehabilitation and will hopefully start running at the end of this week.

How on earth did that Worcester team get promoted? It looks bloody awful.

Weather permitting I predict a win inside 3 days for Durham.

off out for a bit, but i am expecting durham to be over 200 with no more than 3 wickets down by tea
 
rekon 300 would be enough against this worcestershire batting line up, need Muchall to make a 100 tho.

Decent recovery, but you're right, Much needs to bat through, or at least close to, if we're gonna post a decent score and a few useful contributions from Blacky, the colonel and the tail should get us to 350.
 
Blackie as usual not hanging about - 32 from 31 balls!
Decent fightback this session after being 44-3.

Now at Tea (with 36 overs left), 183-4.

Hopefully cash in on some Bonus Points after Tea, nice ton for Muchy, Blackie hanging about a bit which should see us nicely to about 300 by Close :)
 
I questioned him. Last season he did well, but the seasons before that I thought he wouldn't cut it.

Whats the playing hours today? Will they go on until 7.30ish?
