Wolverhampton Wanderers v Sunderland AFC 3pm Match Thread

It's a bullshit rule in its current format.
His eyes are always on the ball and he goes to grab shirt.

It should be;

Intentional hair pull a red
Unintentional - free kick
Make all long hair players tie hair up above the shoulder
And how can you read a players mind to determine if it was delivered or not. Footballers cheat like fuck constantly, they will easily come up with a way of pulling hair "accidentally" just like players with long hair will now be cheating in every game pretending their hair has been pulled

So does this mean if someone's long hair catches ya in the face and you go down? Then that's a sending off?

Can't punish one and not the other

Deserved red imo fuckin stupid thing to do, however if we have this rule and thy have long hair they should be made to tie it up IMHO
Stupid thing to do? What’s he meant to do in that situation? Ask him if I remove his hair from the back of his shirt so they can jostle without the possibility of him getting sent off.

Surely they’ve got to prove intent. He’s just grappling for position. It’s a decision made by non footballing people

problem is the shirt is a legitimate pull or at least accepted, however long hair over shirt in the middle of a tackle how can you say its deliberate. Its an easy red card like the keeper is an easy timeout. I expect dark arts teams to have extensions over the summer break 😡

Not a straight red though is it?
depends, deliberate foul in on goal it is. In the box a penalty. Simple really, keep your hands down. To be honest there's too much cheating in the game as well as too much feigning fouls and injuries, it all needs clamping down on. Silly mistake/decision from Ballard.
