I actually think there’s a decent player in there but the way that lot use him is totally wrong.

I thought he was MOM in that villa cup game, albeit playing more or less in midfield, never lost the ball and always got it out to the winger, not really his fault if they dont then get a cross in.

Wow really, didn’t watch the whole game but I saw enough to see he looked pretty average against a 10 man villa
quick look at his stats for that game and they seem very average, won 4/9 headers, 5/13 tackles, 50 touches hardly MOM
I have seen enough of him over the season to confidently say he got no chance as a 10 and even less as a premier league striker.

I actually think there's some ability there, but he's not actually all that young, and it's clear they've overpaid. Teams have worked out his game and he's now struggling to adapt. If Newcastle miss out on Champions League (looking likely), they're going to have to sell someone.
