Love seeing the crowd being allowed on to have a look at the pitch. I used to do that at county grounds during my school days.

There was always a groundsman in the middle who would tell anyone who was listening the effects of a green wicket, cracks on the pitch, and the effect of cloud covering.

I learned more about how to bowl in the lunch period at Chelmsford or The Oval or wherever the school was taking us than any coach.
 
Good fight back from Sri Lanka this morning. Anyone watching? Did they just bowl badly yesterday/SA batted really well given that there's only really been one partnership of note?
