Will Still - Lens Manager

I think the owners have got off lightly to be honest !

For a club playing at the second highest level of professional football to go two almost seasons without a competent striker on the books ….

They then sack a decent manager for finally losing patience and speaking the truth that everyone in football bar our owners can see and make a knee jerk appointment of a man that 99.9% of the fan base told them was a disaster waiting to happen ….

If Mowbray had lost patience with them in October and spoken his mind we’d probably have been relegated !

100% accurate…… by some who bury their head in the sand you will be accused of moaning for simply stating your opinion and concern!! An opinion that any sensible and level headed supporter would agree with.

The last few months have been completely blown out of proportion, and that's from someone who is massively critical of the ownership and structure.

The Beale choice was shite, everyone could see that a mile off but by the time he was sacked there was virtually no chance of us making the playoffs, If we did, There would have been a clamour to keep Dodds anyway as he would have been on some miracle run to get us near. There's zero point in rushing this appointment when we are clearly working towards getting our first choice. Would people rather we appointed someone we didn't want, Just to say we have a manager in place now, ahead of the 2024/25 season?

It's dragging on this appointment, but right now, whether it was done two weeks ago or on June 1st it makes absolutely zero difference. The season was disgustingly wrote off far too soon, but that was because the Beale appointment was wrong. I'd rather they took their time now than appoint some absolute knacker just to say it's done.
Do you think Still was the first choice? And how do you think the club feel about him actively talking to other clubs while we drag our feet?

If that's the case why haven't we moved to get him in as he's been available for a while, and especially as he's actively talking to other clubs.
I think we have moved. The small matter of a hefty compensation fee was the downfall previous time.
Oh and we can't stop people talking to other clubs

I reckon if there is to be a June 1st announcement then the press need to be informed 24/48 hours earlier (like what happened with Beale) so it should come out in the media tomorrow.

Getting to the playoffs activated a year extension to Mogga's contract, and the club at that point wouldn't want to sack him and pay him up.
But they wanted farioli and couldn’t get him because they took Mowbray on and now he’s manager of Ajax :) :) :) So I tho k they want the man they want not a makeweight that they could end up stuck with

They had to keep Mowbray on after the Luton match or sack him and pay compensation.
They do it to be in the driving seat and get the best wages
Or he talks to another club who offer better money and more say on transfers and staffing......
