It’s day 100 without a permanent head coach
Why did I read that as if it was a Big Brother narration?!

"Day 100 at the Academy of Light and the imminent appointment still hasn't been made. Doddsy continues to make his case, arguing that he's almost as good as the best coach there's ever been, Michael Beale. Kyril will give his verdict when he returns from the world's longest paternity leave. Meanwhile, Kristjaan enters the diary room to deliver a 90 minute presentation about plodding along"

If it is Still, then fair enough. We have waited and got the chap they appeared to have top of their list, regarding compensation, I'm sure he could have been announced prior to say he will take over from whatever date is necessary to avoid paying for him.

But as we all know, it isn't settled as he has been speaking with other clubs. The suggestion that this has been clear sailing or well calculated and executed is far wide of the mark imo there.

And if it ends up as Rosenior or someone, then crikey.

The last few months have been completely blown out of proportion, and that's from someone who is massively critical of the ownership and structure.

The Beale choice was shite, everyone could see that a mile off but by the time he was sacked there was virtually no chance of us making the playoffs, If we did, There would have been a clamour to keep Dodds anyway as he would have been on some miracle run to get us near. There's zero point in rushing this appointment when we are clearly working towards getting our first choice. Would people rather we appointed someone we didn't want, Just to say we have a manager in place now, ahead of the 2024/25 season?

It's dragging on this appointment, but right now, whether it was done two weeks ago or on June 1st it makes absolutely zero difference. The season was disgustingly wrote off far too soon, but that was because the Beale appointment was wrong. I'd rather they took their time now than appoint some absolute knacker just to say it's done.

I think the owners have got off lightly to be honest !

For a club playing at the second highest level of professional football to go two almost seasons without a competent striker on the books ….

They then sack a decent manager for finally losing patience and speaking the truth that everyone in football bar our owners can see and make a knee jerk appointment of a man that 99.9% of the fan base told them was a disaster waiting to happen ….

If Mowbray had lost patience with them in October and spoken his mind we’d probably have been relegated !

I have just ran past the Academy and there's quiet a bit of activity in the side car park!
Hundreds of tonnes of sand is being delivered for the pitches.

I'm sure that the only two posters I have on ignore are Hettonlass and Kildare, and yet the post count for me is 11,700.

Surely they haven't posted 300 times on this thread alone between them? That'd be a lot of spam, and evidently shite, even by their standards.

Yes, but as I said in my previous post I have been critical of the ownership.
