I get what you’re saying but Andy Brassell is more of a writer on a show and a well respected one at that. He isn’t like a gossipy type of journalist like say a Nixon

The only thing that gives me a grain of hope is Brentford appointed a manager who had never managed in England. Look how they are doing now. Despite not spending anything they have been in the Premiership for years and years.

They’ve only been in the PL for three years at the end of this season? And have signed around 6 or 7 players on higher transfer fees than our record signing! Collins and Schade were both around £25m each last year? Plus they’ve only managed to spend because they sold Watkins and Benrahma for decent figures- I can’t see us doing that, no matter who we appoint as manager (spending or receiving those sums).

I get your point and it is a risk but the Cowley's were managing Lincoln City in L2, the Still's are managing Reims in the top tier of France.

Mate you need to actually do some research on him, this bit is so blown out of proportion in the press. Do some legwork and you’ll see it’s not really about that at all. The guy is a pretty well thought of coach and more than FM

I get your point and it is a risk but the Cowley's were managing Lincoln City in L2, the Still's are managing Reims in the top tier of France.

Cowley's took over Lincoln in the National League and left them in L1, they did a great job. Winning the EFL Trophy along the way as well.
