Funny how people say why would Portsmouth fans stay over when it's only a couple hours on train, when it's only just over 3 hours for us and many are away for 2 nights for it

this. people also forget that we have a brilliant train line to London compared to pretty much the rest of the country. york to London is about the same on the train as portsmouth to london.

To be fair Mag fans are pretty loyal - considering there are only a handful below pensionable age that recall a major competitive trophy being won. They can't be judged so well on Wembley weekends though of course - with no form since 2000. Though of course Spurs gave them the chance of a first visit to the new wembley for a league game, enough for the Chronicle to run with "Newcastle United are back at Wembley!"
