Wigan paying players late

consumes many pies;

tries to figure out how to blame this one on a different club - maybe Cardiff this time?

puts it down to a banking error, a minor thing, which can happen to any club at all, four times in less than a year;

won't ever forgive bloody Cardiff, for deducting those points;

eats more pies.

They aren't doing much worse than a lot of prem teams and euro supper teams , difference is the banks wouldn't dare to put them on stop

Which of them clubs have failed to pay players on time 4 months out of 7? The latest wages still aren't paid.

Which of the teams you mentioned are doing that?

Think he’s saying that the banks are happy to extend a credit line to those clubs so it doesn’t happen, but not so much little Wigan.

Be to do with their credit rating and value.

Bigger clubs wouldn't get themselves in a position where they couldn't pay wages. They'd already have a plan.

They need to start getting stricter mind. Clearly Wigan were living beyond their means last season, they've gone up at the expense of someone else like MK Dons (could well have been us) and look at MK Dons now.

Didn't similar happen to Charlton or someone else?

Think it’ll all come home to roost, paid over the odds for players both in fees and wages. Chances are a lot had promotion bonuses / uplifts in them - need to hope they’ve put relegation clauses in there as well otherwise they’re more than likely screwed.

It’s not as if promotion was going to massively increase the money coming in, slightly bigger cut of a TV deal but that’s about it.

No need to get angry marra , all i said was in a round about way is there are plenty of clubs in this country and abroad that would be over the moon with Wigans debt but unfortunately they don't have the income streams to help pay there overdraft so are on stop with banks
Just look at teams on transfer embargos
Don't think we were far away from the same situation not too long ago
