Why won’t anyone shoot?

I'm not sure what the likelihood is of a 35 yard potshot troubling the Netherlands 1st choice keeper, but it's fair to say it would be pretty low. That said, it didn't stop hoardes of our fans shouting shoot when the ball wasn't even in the same postcode as the Brighton goal

Very frustrating when I side who don't create many opportunities don't take a shot on from that position. Its the same with crossing we seem to go in triangles and very often no cross comes on or after a number of passes we go backwards then someone in a worse position floats one in.

That was so frustrating. He has really good technique and a good shot on him, and he's running at the edge of the box with the ball on his left foot and instead of just putting his foot through it, he slides it wider to Talbi who takes a shit touch and loses it. Just shoot man.
 
It’d only gan ower the bar. I don’t know if it’s yer modern day footballer or yer model day ball tbh.

Nothing to worry about at this stage.

Yes it's a problem, but it hasn't stopped us from achieving the goal for this season which was to stay up.

There's no way it doesn't get addressed in the summer with improvements made to the squad. It only becomes a major worry if we go into next season without more attacking strength in the team.
 
It's not only us. The majority of sides, even outside the PL, pass the ball to death. Against Brighton, Talbi, well inside the penalty box with the ball at his feet and a clear sight of goal, made a short sideways pass to an opposition player. Brobbery and AN. Other contrived a couple of shots that were either high or wide. Liverpool's Szob can hit the target from well outside the penalty box and clear a wall. My particular hobby horse are our throw-ins. Last season I offered my service to Sunderland as a throw-in coach. No one got back to me ...

Happens all the time.

Shoooooooooot!!!!

The goal against the mags. The ball falls to Xhaka, well outside the box and in no position at all to shoot. He's only just took a touch to control the ball and you hear it very audibly.
