Why Sunderland can survive in the Premier League

Here's my two-penneth worth on this whole cause before the season kicks off. Why the top 17 might be complacent? Why the last two seasons are not a pointer to our future and an explanation of the transfer policy Sunderland are still pursuing to try and buck the trend.

Enjoy and see you all tomorrow.

Great analysis and I totally agree with you

Decent watch as always, I’m very confident personally, our cm’s are of the highest quality and as good as a lot in the PL, if Reggie can get them gelled snd pkying well together anything is possible.

Ahhh yes!! You’re in my top 3 for footy content mate. I hope you push this hard, monetise the shit out of it. Bang up a facebook page and transfer youtube followers over to there and FB will pay you for content .

Absolutely superb as usual mate.

I was thinking similar about 2022/2023 and made the below thread just after promotion, so glad to see we are aligned in our thinking on that. A lot of players signed that summer are actually still key players for them today and you could see the same happening with us a few seasons down the line if we manage to survive this year.

Agree completely re: Kompany (Burnley) and Martin (Southampton) too on style of play versus us.

It'll be very tough as it's essentially 3 from 5 to go down IMO, the 3 promoted sides plus Brentford and Wolves, Everton and West Ham will have that bit too much quality and experience to get properly dragged into it for me, but we have certainly given ourselves a fighting chance.

I'm hoping the amount of teams playing in Europe may help a bit too if catching some of the stronger teams on the back of European game weeks.

An informative, well put together piece as always. I hope the hypothesis turns out to be on the money when the football starts.
