The mind boggles.Shows how pampered / lazy we have become that a domestic berry that can be picked for free (admittedly not all year) largely gets ignored and folk pay £12 a kilo in Sainsbury’s which is more expensive than meat!
I don't understand how some folk don't understand this. It's as if straight off nature being best is radicalAs soon as they are picked, the sugar begins to turn into starch, therefore lessening the sweetness. Same with corn on the cob. Fresh stuff in supermarkets is rank cos it's days old, but fresh from the plant it is amazing.
