Who remembers the Tanker crash on Newcastle Road in 1992?

any ideas what caused it?

Newcastle road is wide and straight so the driver would have been able to see no problem

Nearly sure it had jack knifed, then rolled over....it will have been a cyclists fault

the town hasn't seen a blaze like that since iirc mate. and you don't see news reports like that any more either, ten minutes in length on a single item ffs. an incident like that'd manage three or four minutes coverage on local news now at most. imo there
