Who actually thinks we will stay up?

It feels like worst one yet this season for us. Coupled with all issues at actual club with ££££ and Short. Fear its game over sadly.
We just dont have any fight in us and Moyes is not the man to give us any :(
Don't you remember the15/19 point seasons?
Getting relegated to third division? This is not great but it's only the worst season if you're under 16- which to be fair you might well be!

Stay up we will. Easy and pretty it will not be. There are other candidates more worried than are we. The force is with us.

I have to admit I am not as sure as last season when I thought we could. We need to get behind Moyes and the team + try our best.

As things stand it's only 50/50 at best imo.

We can stay up if we sign 2 competent, if average new players, get some key players back fit and allow Honeyman a run in the team.

We also need to beat Palace and Hull.

In a shock move, and just for fun, ;) I'm going to suggest that this time we've gone to the well once too often and it's drying up by the second. The above sounds a step too far. I may be wrong, I hope I am and it won't be the first time.

As I've said several times this season, it just "feels different" that's not to say I've given up as will be there as always home and away as that's what we do. Just waiting patiently now for the badly-needed "competent" signings. Then we can set about Spurs and Palace

This is how I feel. Would be more than happy to be totally wrong :D
I know what ye mean, was quietly confident about doing the business last season when Sam came in but all indications this season are that we'll go down, going to sit on the fence for few more weeks before I convince meself of the worst but this is the worst we've been in terms of intent from what I've seen this season

Exact words that came to my mind.

I think its between us and Hull and who finishes last, and the rest will scrap it out.

Fancy Swansea to escape with possibly Watford dropping, although I hope its Palace.
I hope this post comes back and bites me in the arse, but I very much doubt it.

With an average injury list we'd stay up easily. The list we've had so far and will still have long into the season is the problem. I've feared the worst for the last five or so seasons but somehow don't this year. Mebbes that's because I've not been much this time around!
Remember we're the turd that won't flush in the PLs toilet bowl.

100% spot on there lad, fully agree, definitely feels different too and not for the better

no,not this year, the only consistent thing this year is how poor we have been - our lifeline may be how generally poor the bottom half of the league is but looking at some of the teams down with us, they all look better than we do sadly

I think you need similarly impactful signings as you made in the winter window last season, but I don't see Short giving Moyes any kind of meaningful support in the window. You've been unlucky with injuries and don't have a particularly deep squad. One of your best attacking threats just left and a defensive lynchpin has been trying to get out the door all season. As I said, I don't see Short stumping up the cash to buy the right kind of players to rescue you.

I think you'll go down because of your penurious owner.

If we can get all the walking wounded back and spend the PVA money on decent stock we may have a chance ;) Otherwise I think we are fucked this time.

They were lucky in as much as we played way beyond our normal natural ability against teams of superstars who played way below theirs.
That in itself was unexpectedly fortuitous and a sign that breaks went our way.
Why do you always look to nit pick and be awkward . It's obvious luck has played a huge part in our great escapes over the years and only an idiot would even try to deny it.[/QUOTE
