Who actually thinks we will stay up?

You should know that's not how it works on here. Every post can and will be used against you at some non determined point in the future.
Aye but abuse from arseholes and idiots whom I have no respect for, don t bother me one jot.
I'm not going to decry anyone who thinks we will survive. Good on you if you do. I just don't see how anyone can be optimistic given the current piss weak, lacking in quality and desire, injury ravaged squad led by someone whose motivational skills are questionable at best !

I know we're closer to survival than last year at the same point but even then I still thought we would stay up. I have no faith that we will this year even if we sign three of four players now. Anyone think we will stay up? If so why do you think we will
We are closer to survival now compared to last season ??? U sure ??
We certainly have less points now so...

The OP asked for our opinions and that's what I've done. Hope to hell I'm wrong but honestly can't see us getting anywhere near 36 points esp with Anichebe out for 2/3 months. He was vital in our mini revival, and unless we get a player of his type on loan before the window shuts, imho we are goners.
I will be delighted if you are taking the piss come the end of the season.;)

Agreed 100% regarding Big Vic. When he played he helped us play a lot higher up the pitch & as everyone can see without him the ball keeps coming straight back & we drop deeper inviting pressure on ourselves.

We need a similar player in the next few days or else our survival chances lessen dramatically imo.

Like they said about Obi Wan Kenobi in Star Wars " Help Us Big Vic Replacement You're Our Only Hope " !

I can see it but it depends on what we do this transfer window and getting players back from injury. I'm hoping Chelsea have already won the league when play them last game, I think it will be that tight

It's getting harder and harder to imagine us escaping this time around.

Mind you I thought we'd gone under Poyet - seven points adrift in April with Chelsea, Man Utd still to play away !

Never say never.

The only thing Davey needs do to motivate is pin the release clause confirmation above the pegs in changing room. That should bring some upturn in form

It's going to be tough but I don't think it's an hopeless situation just yet.

We have the best striker down there and we need to be in a position where we make him the match winner. If we can become a bit tighter at the back we have a chance

All depends on the next few days for me. I've actually got more confidence now, than at this time in the last few years - we're still in touch, even with our crap, injury ravaged squad. So there's definitely hope

Not me a decade of mis-management has left us with a threadbare squad of journey men.

Of course a good manager could make the team greater than the sum of its parts with motivational skills.

Unfortunately dour Dave drains the life out of me just watching his interviews and it is plain to see from performances on the pitch his negativity has drained all self-belief from the players.

They are beaten before they come out of the tunnel
