That was more to do with, Perez than me thoBorn over in Burnley, and lived there most my life. As a young un loved United and Cantona although my uncle, @manamamackem soon corrected me around the age of 9/10![]()
Whereabouts in NZ mate ?
Me born in Gillinham ,Dad rest his soul was a Sunderland supporting Geordie ,who married Mum a cockney lass he met during the war . Shuttled around the south of England before emigrating to NZ , never been anything other than a Sunderland supporter ,with a soft spot for Pompey.
Those 4am starts are a killer but better than nothing.
My Grandad supported Sunderland as did me Dad-Both born and bred in Sunderland-along came me-Born and bred Millfield and went to the match with me Da and Grandad since I was five year old. That was some 60 years ago . I moved away in the 80's but my two lads are Sunderland mad despite being born in Nottinghamshire. Its in the blood not where you were born-at least four generations and still going strong!!
Uni helped your decision making then -Spennymoor area born. Went to University and after that got a job at Sellafield.

I was always a bit weird that I found the nuclear stuff interesting at school/uni so I always wanted to work in it.
