When it is all announced surely we’d be pretty daft to emphasise Dell’s involvement? The line from the press releases we’ve had so far is ‘passive minority investor’. I realise even a minor investment from someone that wealthy could equate to something huge but by putting it in lights that we have the 25th richest person in the world on board, any future transfer prices we are quoted will be massively inflated.
Donald has mentioned the ‘Sunderland tax’ already this season. It looks like it could be a sign of things to come.
We are that rich we can just buy clubs to shut them up man.

Yes but what car will you drive?

Been lurking here for years, and posting for a couple....your posting style is a tad on the....gloomy side shall we say, and it clearly winds people up. I have nee idea who you are in the real world, could be a misunderstood genius, but you mebbes need to have a look at your posting style....or not....who am I to say? Ha!

Anyway, back on track....when the takeover is announced I will be indulging in a 24 hour self abuse binge which may result in me no longer being able to see the matches or read all these new posters on the forum
Ill be wanking myself daft until my knob burns off through friction. And even then I’ll carry on with the burnt and blood covered stump.

No need for the stupid smilie.

If you really want info try to show some respect, various people are posting honestly.
And he wonders why people are "bullying" him lol.

Told ya Steve lad, your posting style is shite, you come across like you think everyone is stupid.

I've just been told my posts are being 'reported' on a Mag forum. I don't use any other social media than this so wouldn't know or care.

It's good news and convenient for the resident Mag posters though ...
... they won't have to bother coming on a Sunderland forum for me to wind them up

Some managing of expectations will be needed on here. Money does not guarantee you anything.... anyone remember that club in the north east with the multi billionaire US owner. A painful 10 years they had when they were one of the biggest spenders in world football.
How the club is being ran will be equally as important.
Add to this and new owners are looking for a return on the investment and realistically doing a Southampton or Wolves should be the extent of our ambition. Hitting some heights but struggling to maintain it year on year. Why? Because it’s pretty difficult to keep great teams together without your best players getting picked off. Look at the Southampton team that beat us 8-0, half that team ended up at Liverpool, Man Utd or Spurs.
So your turning over players a lot, never good for maintaining a consistently good performance.
Add to this your best managers being picked off .. see Southampton again.
It’s not straight forward this money equals success malarkey.

Yes but Ellis didn't get to wipe out his loses by the worldwide marketing spin that will put Dell on our shirts/stadium on Netflix.

MSD cannot lose.

There's quite some hypocrisy going on here.

On one hand people are claiming the buyers won't be able to spend and may struggle to move the club forward.

On the other hand they're saying they're only in it to fast track us to the PL and make loads of money.

Haway Lads, you can't be pessimistic about both things at the same time ...

... make a choice

Understand and try to put a value on what Dell could have through us with marketing on Netflix seasons 5-8...for than a couple hundred of million that's for sure. They will be following the Redbull model.

Have the club ever made a major announcement such as a takeover at the game before Kickoff? I'd probably be able to hear the roar over here in Oz.
