The ability to cast YouTube from my phone to the TV. Come home from an after work session, working my way through Led Zep, Jimmy Barnes, Parkway Drive, AC/DC, Marvin Gaye (gutted his dad shot him before I was even born) and onto a bit of Go West, without having to leave the sofa. Class.

Google Herm. Turns me telly, lights, fire on and I don't have to bend me back. Plays the music i ask, and answers me questions.

All it wants in return is my soul, and my browsing history and cookies .

I treat it as a challenge to see how many minutes early I can beat the estimated time of arrival by.
