Walked about 1km from a mates house to my parents absolutely stoned, took me around an hour, but felt like a week, i found out what the moon landing fellas felt like.

There and back but I forgot how far it was and that was the reason for my journey.

Just been out , walked from Murton down the old railway line to Ryhope, then along the coast, to the new road to dp then back home, 10.6 miles in 3.5 hrs , feeling relaxed now.

I did 2.9 miles from Shields' town center to my home at the other end of town when I took enough money to get a card but not a bus home too. This is in the days before I learned to drive. I either had to get a card and walk home or not get a card and get the bus back so I chose the former.

But I did go to the Sykeside Campsite in the Lakes' (which I passed last Saturday morning) with the school back in 1991 for a weekend and we walked about 13 miles I think over a mountain over Pattersdale I think.
