Welcome Simon Grayson

I actually think he'll be a steady enough type of boss, nothing special but not disastrous. Unfortunately given your relegation and the state of the finances and the clip of your shite squad 'nothing special' isn't even close to being good enough. You needed a boss to inspire fans and players, Simon f***ing Grayson isn't that boss.
And then there's fatty Benitez who took you down

Jog on coward

Liked what the local press had to say about the attitude of his team.

"PNE had a fine work ethic and togetherness under
Grayson and whoever takes over, needs to maintain that."

Won promotion and finished 11th in the championship with the lowest budget/wage bill in the league

Sorry m8 - oh fukin wow - convinced now like

Wasn't my choice (or close to it) but need to get behind him.

I've said a number of times on here that we need a manager who can work within a budget and get the best out of the players we have. Grayson seems to have a record of doing this, albeit mainly with poorer sides.

KTF

Ken Knighton didn't exactly get the pulses racing upon his appointment. A few years down the line Denis Smith came in to absolutely no fanfare. They seemed to do okay for us in second tier football. Just like every manager before him, he's here now, so I'm happy to give him a chance.

Now the dust has settled, there's a manager in for the pre-season and a chance to do something in the transfer market which has to be a plus. I didn't have a preferred choice of a new manager so it's welcome to SG from me, not the "star" appointment that some feel we are entitled to but probably the right man for the time and situation SAFC is in.

Can quite honestly say ,don't give a flying fuck what you think of our new manager :D

good luck to him but he's the ideal "yes man" appointment for Short. He'll have about £20 to spend.

Even with 20 quid to spend ,he'll buy better than 40M worth of shite Moyes bought. Will be interesting to see what a manager who can polish rough diamonds will do ,as against the managers who think the only way forward is to buy your way our of trouble . Apparently he spent a sum total of 2M on Preston last season and gave them stability in the Championship. Imagine what he may be able to do given more funds and a reasonably decent youth set up.
