Suppose at the very least it appears the bloke wants to be here. Hopefully he will act this way too. Moyes negativity last season was appauling. Be a nice change having a manager who feels lucky to be at safc.

I actually think he'll be a steady enough type of boss, nothing special but not disastrous. Unfortunately given your relegation and the state of the finances and the clip of your shite squad 'nothing special' isn't even close to being good enough. You needed a boss to inspire fans and players, Simon f***ing Grayson isn't that boss. :lol:

If youd have even took the time to read the preston fans opinion of him youd of realised hes a very likable and honest man with a very dignified persona.. and they are absolutely gutted he is leaving.. If you "are" a Sunderland fan you will get over Moyes and get behind him..

That was quick.

To be fair, he was my 2nd choice after McInnes so I'm alright about it.

Also, I'm usually critical of Short but he's done right here. Gave the consortium a deadline which looks like wasn't met. No messing around, reject the deal and appoint a manager. If he provides him with decent enough funds, I'll be pleasantly surprised and hold my hands up.
