We got into a discussion in my pub recently and I mentioned I liked to eat Weetabix with butter on as a kid. Somebody else said they made crisp sandwiches. Did anyone else here do this?
Someone you know puts crisps between slices of bread![]()
Posh get.
Try fish finger & prawn cocktail crisp sarnies. Food of the gods![]()

i worked wit a geordie lad....big lad too but sound as fuck for a mag, reccomended i butter a Greggs Stottie with lurpak, then place into this sandwich 2 cheese and onion pasties also from greggs, i looked at him in sheer f***ing disgust and tried it that weekend, i couldnt eat one every week like but it was alright..... what the fuck do they do in Newcastle to come up with such things![]()
I wonder if sugar sandwiches are actually a shields thing as I was pretty much brought up on them!
Other types I had would be: Banana sandwich, Tomato sauce sandwich, or a vinegar sandwich.
I also to this day put ketchup all over my Sundays dinner too!![]()
And...I used to put extra scoops of sugar in my pop and give it a stir! I don't know how I still have any teeth!!
My worst however, looking back, was that when I was a kid, I would spit into my bowl of ice cream and mix it dead fast with a spoon to make it all gloopy before eating it! Total and utter tramp!!![]()
I thought I was quite adventurous with a slice of bread growing up, I'd hoy whatever was for tea in a sandwich, from curries, to bolognese, to stews, dinners, owt... But I'd never even dreamt of putting a full pie in a sandwich, the filling aye, but never the whole sherbang. Was astounded first time I saw someone make one of those.i worked wit a geordie lad....big lad too but sound as fuck for a mag, reccomended i butter a Greggs Stottie with lurpak, then place into this sandwich 2 cheese and onion pasties also from greggs, i looked at him in sheer f***ing disgust and tried it that weekend, i couldnt eat one every week like but it was alright..... what the fuck do they do in Newcastle to come up with such things![]()
