We did our bit

I don't think i've added anything into this thread that hasn't been discussed over and over again on here.

There's not a single group on the planet that opens up to the floor on designs. It's not feasible. There's no time to waste going back and forth with thousands of people. We've got a team of volunteers (in a whatsapp group), have had a Telegram channel of over 100 people since the draw was made and our own Whatsapp group. I left all those groups as a result of the club's interference last season and only rejoined the lads to help with this display but three groups consisting of over 150+ is more engagement than any tifo group on the planet is likely to give out. These things don't have the "wow" factor if everyone on the planet has seen what's planned before it happens. I don't think it's unfair that the lads that are spending hours and hours on dealing with suppliers, dealing with the club ( ), mapping out potential ideas on excel, organising teams of 100s of people, organising deliveries to the stadium, taking time off work to put everything out etc etc get to decide what we're going to do.

Take Tuesday for instance. I spent the entire day (9am - 6.30pm) at my mate's flat in Sunderland drawing letters onto material and carefully cutting them out. We were expecting a delivery of 39,800 items to the SOL and had people on standby all day to drop everything and race over when we got an arrival time. Material eventually arrived at 4.30pm which was later than expected so the group that had planned to receive the delivery had to change and someone else volunteered to jump on the bus and get there instead. They then spent over an hour moving the material off the palet and shipping it off to all corners of the ground ready for the following day. That's one day's activities from 6 years of doing this.

The day arrives after close to 20 hours graft for members of the group and volunteers and the reaction from some is "£17k for that?!"

Even if you hadn't explained anyone with common sense could work surely work out themselves how time consuming and expensive these displays must be. I have loved every single one of them and yesterdays was just fantastic.

I also agree the surprise element makes it even better, why would you want to know what it is before you see it on the day. That would take something away from it for me.

Was the finest display ive seen at any football ground tbh . What a start to the match . Dont give up . Even the "free scarf wavers" would have gone eefffin hell look at that.

Calling someone a slag who you’ve never met is a bit much mind.

Know bout about her and the only insult you can have is call her a slag because she’s a woman, grow up.
Couldn’t give a fuck mate

For weeks she has been accusing a group of volunteers that spend their own free time trying to improve the dog shit atmosphere at the SOL of stealing fans money and doing a runner with it …

To thousands of her desperate ugly horny followers that then initiates a pile on. She’s a horrible little ****

The obsession on the cost is a bit weird.

I've had to order banners and other promotional materials for work from very mainstream / well-known printers, and the cost routinely comes to more than you'd expect - $500 for two ~8 ft banners and some tabletop cards, for instance.

It's no wonder then that ordering 30k+ items (and ensuring they meet the specs imposed on them by the club - i.e. flame retardant etc.) comes out to a sum most couldn't afford on their own. A total non-issue imo and driven by people acting in bad faith.

Slander? Libel? Words I never heard in the bible?

I just don't think any organisation in the world can realistically put money behind that message. Even the media tiptoe around it.

Slander against who?

Who would have brought legal action? NUFC? Why would they find the words 'sportswashing' libellous if they weren't involved in sportswashing?

I just disagree with this softy softy scared to offend people approach. We should have just done it and dealt with the consequences after. The damage would have been done, the world would have seen it. At worst, safc get a little fine.

It's just my opinion mate. I don't think it was realistic. End of the day neither of us run multimillion pound organisations.

She literally takes everything the club says as fact and has no doubts about it yet doesn't believe what fellow Sunderland supporters say and conspires about them.

Where do you even begin with someone like that.

Also the standard reply from her with any questions on her feed is    which also tells you everything you need to know about someone.

you mean like the one posted on December 12th that everyone just ignored because they'd rather be arseholes?

You must be logged on to see media items
I wasn't being a dick asking. I had seen that one but also people saying blurry blah blah. The one Donald posted now with everything itemised shuts them all up. Just seemed it was going round in circles and that would shut them up. Including wor flags

The free scarf waving was embarrassing. Looked like kids being forced to support their classmates at year 3 sports day !

The results of our displays were tremendous. Looked brilliant and certainly those around me enjoyed being part of it. I cannot imagine the organisation that goes into this but anyone having a pop needs to give themselves a shake.

sorry mate.

I've just lost patience with social media arseholes and I'm snapping at them all. My emotions are naturally amplified when these digs are being thrown at people I've grown to know and consider to be very good mates.

At the absolute least they deserve our own to be defending them but that's obviously too much to ask.

Extremely disheartening tbh.
