We could have a case against Man City

arguably would still be in the premier league now if they hadn't cheated. how many jobs have been lost and lives ruined since then.

Not about being awarded the cup or any other stupid comment but of course its possible, the premier league will be doing an investigation and if all appeals fail this will open a mass of compensation for lost revenues etc. from a lot of clubs. Man City have thought they can get away with FFP regs. Whats the point if having it if they are not going to punish the top clubs never mind the lower clubs which they are coming down heavy on
It would open a dangerous precedent if teams who were negatively impacted by the wrong doings of another team could claim compensation. You would have to consider everyone who played against them in every competition and possibly everyone in a league standing below them. Where would it end? What would happen to other cases in the future, say of someone on a dodgey contract or financial mismanagement?

It gets very complicated. I think you just have to punish those doing wrong and say sorry to everyone else.

Not really a precedent as we paid Sheff United 28m quid (the actual cost of relegation at that time), as well as an FA fine of 6m quid over Tevez

We own the first 2 or 3 court cases but they kept appealing util they won on. I assume City will do similar

and then got relegated and early went bust due to the financial pressure of that at a time our owners went bust

and people still say we got away with it

You got at least another year in the premier league which allowed you to financially recover from those "fines".

except we didn't financially recover (hpow could you when all your income from one year is awarded to another club and all the teams around you still get theirs) and went down the year and very very nearly into administration after because of having to pay them

Essentially that punishment ensured our relegation meaning we were punished 3 times for well over double the actual cost to Sheffield Uited

you did like. look at you now.
due to being bought out by Gold and Sullivan, who got us back up

if they had not come along the club was going into administration (and that was before the relegation)
Not a chance the titles and cups will get re awarded so we may as well stop talking about it now.
be more like what happened in Italy where the 2005 title has no winner after it was taken from Jeventus

happened in Italy
And yet the fans are hounding them out. Bad crack.

Imagine us getting into Europe. How much of a fuck up would we made of that. Flights to the wrong country, ineligible players, getting hammered by the champion of Estonia etc

If they lose the appeal against UEFA. They stopped us from qualifying from europe in 2014 and the investigation is between 2012 and 2016.

Us and many others mind but its a possibility
Personally because of the so called City’s arrogance with the investigation and the fact they have apparently broken FFP rules I think they will lose the appeal. It is certainly an interesting time for football as a whole, as we wait for the FA to act. The fact that they could be demoted to league 2 (maximum punishment) if found guilty would open up so many smaller cases from clubs like us demanding compensation. For once I’m interested in the shenanigans of the Premier league again.
