I'm less worried by the RBs - Winchester and O9 can / have both played there so we probably only need one, with one of the aforementioned two to fill in as / when required.

An inexperienced Kimpioka, disaffected Grigg and ineffectual O'Brien as our back up strikers is, however, extremely concerning.
And while we're been linked to full-backs, worryingly we don't seem to have been linked to strikers.

Whilst that is true, it's a disaster if it takes until the end of the window to get the bulk of the needed players in.

We'd be looking at end of October/start of November before they are settled and clued in to the way the manager wants them to play.

A big week ahead.
I just hope that LJ has a Tammy Abraham mk 2 in the pipeline that no one has yet picked up on . We will not go up with that strike force.

Probably not but they’ll know as much as anyone on here, bar a couple of posters who clearly get some little bits of info, namely @Upthere I’m beyond underwhelmed at the moment

Where do you think they've got their info from?

A quick look on here and 10 mins of re-jigging the words and hey presto....a typical piece of lazy journo click bait.

Whilst im definately not bigging up the echo they will get things from the club with a doubt. Not that i’m saying what they’ve printed today will be correct

When Wigan batter us, He will blame slow market , new and young players will need time to gel bla bla bla .

I noticed Blackburn replaced Harvey with John Park who was linked to us as H.o.R .

todays echo (i know i know) reckon we’ll get 6 players in max

3 full backs
1 cd
1 midfielder
1 cf
Ideally I'd prefer
2 fullbacks - 09 & Winchester can cover RB / Dyce can be back-up LB + Hume when fit - unless they are including Hume in the 3?
1-2 CD - if we're only after 1 I guess Doyle will be a starter. For a full season at 17?
Do we need another midfielder? Will that limit chances for Neil & Embleton?
We should sign a winger to cover both flanks, RW as 1st choice, LW as cover for McGeady that would be ideal.
I'd like us to shift Grigg & O'Brien; sign another strong option up front.

I very much doubt it mate. Even Nixon, who probably did get a bit of a bite now and then is left to look on here and NewsNow for scraps.

It's annoying as a fan who wants to know what's going on, but the new lot have been very good at keeping their cards close to their chests....for better or worse.

Honestly, I’m not even arsed anymore. The last 5 or so years of supporting the lads has seen me get more and more apathetic about the football that’s offered up. The turnover in players and managers has been phenomenal, most have been shite and anyone half good barely seems to stay beyond a year so it’s been hard to get any attachment to players or teams we’ve had.

I can’t wait for the next time I can get to the SOL, mind. The football is largely secondary these days. I’m used to us being shite, in fact I can count the amount of good seasons we’ve had in my lifetime on one hand so defeats don’t faze me anymore. It’s the social side I’m yearning for. The pints before and the shite you chat for hours with your mates is what I am looking forward to this year.

I cant be arsed getting bothered about who we’re not signing or who Wigan or Ipswich are signing. Come 7th August, we’ll have eleven lads on the pitch, the chances are some of them will be alright, a few will be shit and a few will be unremarkable and forgettable but I will be spending copious amounts of hours travelling, like I do most years, to have a laugh with my mates and carrying on what my grandad started.

Wouldn’t disagree with that, i think we’ll only bring a cd in if wright leaves

OB won’t be going anywhere imo

We will be lucky if we finish top 8. LJ will be gone by January. We've just sold our top scorer to promotion rivals and as it stands, people have every right to be concerned about the direction we're heading in. League 1 mediocrity.
This.
That list is depressing , even without bringing in players before next Saturday ( which most likely won’t happen anyway ) , that team won’t make the play offs not a chance. Am not an LJ fan but he must be gutted cos he is the one who the fans will be blaming come Xmas when we are mid table and going nowhere. He has been hung out to dry here , 3 lfreebies ( one 17 yr old , another with a serious injury history) .
Letting our 30 goal striker walk was criminal.
