Wasp infestation types

As per the title!

Does anyone deal with or know anyone who can help with some blighters that have set up shop in my loft space?

Thanks in advance

I used some powdered stuff my Dad had left in his garage from the 1970' s last year.
It worked fantastic however it will be banned so no use to you.

First step, pay pest control to remove it. Council is about £50 but might not do it as it’s in an enclosed space.

Second step, block any obvious holes.

Remove any obvious sources of dead wood (dead trees etc.) which they pulp up to make the nests.

Next year move to steps three >

Third step, I bought some fake nests and some small hanging pots off Amazon (could use a jam jar) with a sweet substance in the bottom (cordial) and it’ll act as a trap This will deter them next year as they’ll think there’s already a nest there next year and they won’t hang around.

Final step, torch your house.

Had this company out couple of years ago to deal with Wasp nest in brickwork, Neighbour only just had them out a month ago to deal with nest in shrubbery.

Nice Blokes. Very prompt

Cheers fella, I’ll give them a shout....the next is right at the top of our table end and the council bloke that called today said it’s too high for them to deal with.

Cheers for the recommendation.

If they are not bothering you, you could leave them where they are, the nest and occupants will die in a couple of months once it starts to get cold. However, you will obviously not want them to return next year, so I would put some wasp powder in there at the end of the year and in spring, and a Queen that is thinking about a return will go elsewhere.

if they are bothering you, then you can go to the council pest control.

I had them in my garden shed. A can of air fresher and a sweeping brush did the trick
