It's a real shame they've completely fudged this. They just needed to stick with the book, all this after the war shite is completely worthless.

The pacing was all wrong on the BBC one. Three episodes and nothing really happened in the first episode ... a third of the whole thing.

The aliens looked like wobbly 70s dr who things.
