I have declined SEATs request to "fix" mine, does more harm than good.

I let them do it, so I can tell any buyer down the line (or if the DVLA decide to raise car tax unless its done), that I did it.

The next day I took it to a remapper - 140 to 192bhp for the win

I’d suspect it’s not affected as you’d have had a letter from the DVLA to recall the vehicle.

Beware that some are saying their cars run worse after having the “fix” for this. I’d rather just leave it as is tbh.

Must admit, I didn't notice much difference in the ~24hrs before I got it remapped again

I have heard bad reports about faults showing up after modification, you might have to sing for further repairs.

Most likely. Check that first site I linked on a desktop.
