It's great for buying. Some people's idea of second hand is wearing something once (which is true TBF). I tend to wear things until they're either tatty or walking out the house themselves.

For selling you get people trying at haggling a £2 item down. It's not worth the time of going:

no, £1.99
£1.21
no, £1.98

etc etc

I don't have a problem with second hand clothes as long as they are in decent condition. Wash it as soon as it arrives and then after a couple of wears you've forgotten that you didn't buy it brand new.

Some of the things I've sold have only been worn once or twice (or sometimes not at all) but were now too big for me (or rather my belly is too small for them).

Anything I have which isn't in a sellable condition will just go to the charity shop. Total waste just to throw usable clothes out.
 
Use it a canny bit, mainly for selling stuff that is still in perfect nick.....I take it for what it is and try really hard to not get riled by the berks that inhabit it.

I've decided there's an etiquette whereby you need to make an offer, with enough room for the seller and buyer to meet in the middle......however it seems not every fucker follows this!

Actually just offered 15 quid for a pair of readers that were £20 - by my rules she should have countered at £17.50, and I would have accepted and paid....but nar, DECLINED....for the sake of £2.50 she could have had them gone....really want them anarl but going back with a bid after a decline and no counter offer is like gannin ahh please, and she can fuck off!

I also hate when you accept an offer and they don't buy it.....f***ing taties.

Due another clear out soon....need to build up me tolerance.

I love Vinted and save a fortune on clothes. If I see something I like online I look for it first on Vinted and there's usually a good condition one being sold. The only problem is I now find clothes shop items ridiculously expensive because everythings so cheap on Vinted :)

They do but you don’t get the money til they confirm receipt and that they’re happy with it.
 
You can get decent money for kids’ clothes and toys. Had a big clearout recently and made over £1.5k in sales, mainly in Lego sets. I just completely ignore lowball offers, don’t even bother to reject them as I can’t be arsed with the back and forth.

Never had any problems with payment though. I did have one sale suspended, I think because the buyer didn’t bother picking it up. About a month later I was credited the full value and the item then arrived back in the post for good measure!

So currently about 600 quid down and nee idea when I'm getting it 🤣🤣.

Then started getting messages on something I'm selling about it being their birthday and can they have it cheap ffs.

Back to eBay it is.

If article is not posted by the selling in 7 days .you should automatically receive your money back. Lot's of messers on there. ALWAYS read the reviews about them ,some are terrible ,should not be allowed to sell.Been on for about 2 years .If seller produced a label,that's just part one,did it get posted,did it get collected ,did you receive updated from delivery company ? On Vinted site you can click ,no longer required etc.
 
I’ve been trying to find my size and within a reasonable price our gold Lambtons away shirt for f***ing years on/off on there, after deeply regretting one I dithered about on eBay and then it selling by the time I’d decided I was going to buy it.
 
Perfect place to sell fake gear, the amount of people walking around with fake Nike, Adidas and on running trainers must be in the thousands who think they are genuine. Then you add in the designer clothing and bags but Trading Standards don’t care and they are based in Lithuania and say they are just a marketplace who put the buyer and seller together so can’t be sure.

That's why I stopped accepting offers. Some people must sit on the app all day just making offers on things they have no intention of buying.

Another annoyance is people asking endless questions. You just know that they would find something to moan about afterwards if they ever got around to buying it.
 
I use vinted a lot for clothes mainly to try different brands or get bargains in brands that I like .
I've sold stuff on there too and I just ignore offers as I don't make them myself .
My main gripe with vinted is that as a female buyer it's really annoying that they have changed the sizing groups and all the womens clothes options are grouped in dual sizes so if you see something you want you have to click into the full description to check whether it's your size . Some sellers don't even specify it so you have to then scroll through all the photos to see if a size label is there 🤬. I'm an old school ebay seller so I list everything clearly in the title , photograph everything clearly and include full measurements to account for size differences between brands and I wish everyone else did that.

You can filter on brand new with tags.

I always make sure I only sell stuff I would be happy to receive. It’s crazy how much shite people sell.

I once bought a pair of cowboy boots the lass selling described them as being in excellent condition but when I got them they were wrecked. I wouldn’t have even donated to charity. I got my money back she reckoned she was new to Vinted and didn’t know how to change the condition!
 
I absolutely hate Vinted which is quite something as I have never even visited the site. Day after day I'm either taking parcels in or going to lockers to collect them or dropping parcels off. My Mrs (I'm meant to say no here but I have no idea why) assures me it's saving money but the new wardrobe we had to buy would say otherwise. I don't really understand it though as I've walked around Primark (4 floors) with her often enough and new clothes aren't that expensive.
