Anybody used these and had problems with them?

Bought the bairn a phone off there and the inpost app says "delivery issue contact us" (probably means the phone was not posted or something) anyway spoke to them and they say I have to speak to Vinted as they produced the label, so spoke to Vinted and they say I have to wait 25 days to challenge it

Sold something on there and it was due for delivery 3rd June to Isle of Man, now says may be up to the 3rd July due to "delay".

So currently about 600 quid down and nee idea when I'm getting it 🤣🤣.

Then started getting messages on something I'm selling about it being their birthday and can they have it cheap ffs.

Back to eBay it is.

Our lass uses it all the time, it’s great for designer accessories like bags, sunglasses, belts etc, I have a nice little designer silk tie collection going on now all vinted buys for under £50, Hermes, Armani, Ferragamo

I wouldn’t part with or buy anything over £100 like, you hear some horror stories of people claiming faults or things missing and you don’t receive any money as a seller. I sold a much beloved special edition Barbour coat that cost me £400 about 15 year ago some time ago for £100odd if I remember right, was sweating a bit waiting for that to clear as really buyers can have your pants down if so inclined

I use it to buy my son (4 year old) old football kits. Can pick up some great bargains and as he outgrows things within months it's not worth paying full price.
The other month i got him a napoli third kit with Oshimen 9 on the back for £4

As good as new. Wouldn't spend anything significant on it though

InPost do lose things on occasion. I had something go missing through them. Vinted will refund you after 28 days, an option comes up in your account to flag it with them.

Vinted is great. I get pretty much all my clothes from it.

I've been using Vinted a lot recently as I've lost a lot of weight. Good for clearing out the wardrobe and experimenting with different brands, styles and sizes.

Mostly is has been a good experience (far better than eBay) but like every online platform it attracts a fair number of idiots and annoying people but they are easy enough to ignore. Not worth getting into long arguments over a T shirt.

Still amusing how some people just keep making ridiculously low offers and then they get arsey when you don't accept them.

As long as you stick to items which are £5-10 then the risks are minimal. If I don't like something I buy then I will just put it up for sale again.

Vinteds class like. Constantly selling/buying on it. You think its pointless selling something for a fiver but if you just leave it on your balance and let them all build up a few month you can easily have a decent amount.

A buyer has to pay for an item upfront on Vinted to be fair so you can post things knowing you will get your money

I love Vinted and save a fortune on clothes. If I see something I like online I look for it first on Vinted and there's usually a good condition one being sold. The only problem is I now find clothes shop items ridiculously expensive because everythings so cheap on Vinted :)

Great way of clearing out stuff you no longer need.

I sell the kids clothing that's now too small. Any money I get back goes straight into their savings accounts.

I never withdraw anything. Just spend everything I make on replacements. That way Vinted acts more like a swap shop.

Too much effort to try to make decent money out of it.

I had a pair of shorts on sale for £5. One guy offered me £4 for them, which I refused because who haggles on a £5 pair of second hand shorts?

He then kept on offering me £4 over and over again, which ended with him getting banned after making death threats!

At least that was the end of it, for about 12 hours until he made a new account, bid £4 on my shorts and made another death threat.

He seemed to give up after that.

I am an absolute arsehole for doing offers like that and I'm not ashamed one bit. Class finally making a stubborn bastard accept £1 off a £5 t-shirt.

Been spot on for me apart from the other day I was expecting a pint glass and instead I got a pair of women’s Zara shorts 🤣 the seller didn’t even know where they came from so can only assume the delivery person for inpost stuck the wrong labels on

I just ignore offers now. Even if you accept them the other person usually doesn't buy as offers aren't binding. It must be like a game to someone.

I once rejected an offer of £2 for a shirt I'd put on for £5. Not worth me going to the Post Office for a couple of quid - and the sod came back with an offer £2.10. As if another 10p was going to make me change my mind.

Pretty much every item of clothing getting packed for our holidays in ten days time is from Vinted - apart from kecks and some of our footwear.

My missus is never off the App - she buys much more than she sells but rarely spends more than £40 on a single item. I have more designer labels in my wardrobe as I approach 60 years old than I have ever had at any point in my life - even when I was a daft young 'un, spending fortunes in the likes of West One.

We've only ever had one problem where a pair of Adidas Sambas bought for my birthday were obvious fakes or seconds when they arrived. The buyer insisted they were genuine and refused to refund any money - Vinted weren't much help, basically leaving it up to my missus and the seller to sort it out between them. I went out and bought a genuine pair in the same colour to compare them and you can tell the ones from Vinted weren't the real I am. The missus was a bit upset and put a sh!tty review on the seller's site and we ended up keeping the dodgy ones which I still use for dog-walking or pottering about in the garden - I call them my 'Simbas' to differentiate between the two pairs I now have.

Other than that everything's been spot on with it - much easier than ebay, although I notice that they have made things easier to try and combat the lost business they must surely be experiencing.

That's your story and you're sticking to it.

I’ve looked but then never committed to anything, find it canny minging wearing second hand clothes.

It’s the clothing equivalent of those people getting a Merc on PCP, it’s a way to having something you can’t afford/to tight to buy new.
