I'd recommend King and Mouse Whiskey Bar and Spunka....

Preferred Vilnius (in 2016) to Riga (in 2008). Thought Riga was edgy and a bit shit, though obviously this was a while ago. I also stayed in 'Funtime Franks Happy Hostel' in Riga, which was weird.

Loved it there. We went in January when it was minus 15 so there wasn’t loads to do in terms of sights. However, As mentioned before, there’s plenty of lovely pubs with craft beer. Favourite was bambaylne which was actually a bottle shop but you could sit in, loads of choice
