Villa support

There is more support/allegiance for Blues within the City of Birmingham than there is for Villa.

A lot of Villa's support is from outside Birmingham.

That is not correct. Birmingham is more or less split, north & south. South Birmingham being Blues, north Birmingham being Villa. With all their years in the wilderness, more and more Villa have cropped up in south Birmingham over the past 25 years. It is very rare to see Blue colours in north Birmingham though. There are undoubtedly more Villa in Birmingham than Blues although, like everywhere else, a large portion of the support (for both teams) comes from outside the city.

Times have changed-People are moving further away for a variety of reasons. Birmingham is completely overrun with foreign immigrants, many od whom have no real desire to integrate. The schools are poor and the traffic is horrendous. I moved out in 2007 and have never looked back-Absolutely hate going there now

Always liked villa for relegating shearer etc, they also have a similar history ( more trophies ) than safc

They do have an arrogance, second city perception ? That makes them difficult to like at times though

Obviously you would have s bit more experience with dogging it out down there, but for the sake of enlightning the north, we packed Villa Park with 48000 in the third division, never mind the second.

I find this forums fascination about attendances f***ing hilarious though. I'd keep my focus on winning stuff, but each to their own.

For what it's worth, while Brum has more people, the demographic is totally different. Cricket is huge amongst 30-40% of the population. And amongst this group football is irrelevant. Then add other sports which are cemented in the era through history. Then add a f***ing ton of clubs competing. Totally apples and oranges, but I understand why you choose to look at it. Despite how sad it is.

Keep it going though. Will enjoy picking three points off you again.

Good Support MLord

Its not really though is it

A lovely cricket input

and you probably will but its hardly anything to crow about

When was that when you packed villa park in the 3rd division ? Apart from 2008 when was the last time you averaged over 40k ? Oh go on then I'll tell you ... It was 1950 :lol: and only once have you averaged over 43k in a season and that was 1949
