Aston Villa are generally seen as a bigger club.

I've never understood why you are seen as a big club, never mind which other clubs compared with. The amount of times I've heard commentators describe you as a big club and I'm scratching me head thinking why?

Yeah, we all know you won the European Cup 35 years ago.

But, for a supposed big club your following is abysmal, especially when you consider the size of Birmingham. Yeah, there's another club in the city who get about 17,000 in? So, a city the size of Birmingham and the best you can do between you is say 50,000 people wanting to go and watch football - say 33,000 Aston Villa.

When you compare it with Manchester and Liverpool it's pretty poor, and Sheffield won't be far off 50,000 between the two of them from a much smaller city.

For the size of the city, Aston Villa must be the poorest supported team in the top flight.

Yeah, fine, you won the European Cup, but you can't muster a decent following given the size of your city.

I would take a drop in wages to move from Villa to Swansea, where I am playing with better players, and, by extension, develop me and my earning potential further.
 
2 old traditional clubs with a great history, unfortunately for us and them thats all it will be for the foreseeable :( Daft saying ones bigger than the other nowadays.

Lets see where Swansea finish up as well. They failed to beat the Premierships whipping boys, just as we did. We will improve whereas they will stand still at best
