Hate this one clubs bigger than another argument. It's about recent success, historical success, turnover, crowd size, popularity (the skunks are everyone's second team yennar) and numerous other considerations. Pointless unwinnable argument.

Let down by a couple of things to be a big club, one being poor support for a Premier League regular.
Don't take offence as your support is probably in the next batch of clubs but it definitely isn't at the top table.

In 2015 all of that is irrelevant. You signed Bent because you were willing to meet his wage demands.

Whoever is having the better recent seasons will poach the other clubs players as theres nothing in it. You haven't won a trophy for nearly 20 years and haven't been in the Champions league, your just like the other 15 clubs in this league.

If Amavi has a good season and you finish your eventual 12th - 17th place, if Swansea wanted him they would get him. As in modern football Swansea are a more attractive club than both us and they were a mostly 3rd division club you pleb.

Imagine our crowds if we had your success,,,,

Check your average attendance then check ours over the last 10 years,,,,,I also recall your support at the SOL a few year ago, in the bottom 3 for sure for worst ever attendance from away fans at SOL.

Both u and Brum are shite support considering your (supposed to be) the 2nd city in England......

Yep. Villa would be traditionally viewed as a bigger club than us.

However...

A big club in 2015 is:
a) your ability to attract and pay high wages for quality players
b) your future prospects as a football club

Is there much of a difference between us in 2015? No, of course not. Similarly, we would traditionally be viewed as 'bigger' than West Brom and Stoke. Nothing between us anymore either.
 
They have won the European Cup so purely based on that then yes they are a bigger club, everything else is pretty similar but do not know why people are getting worked up by it, if we had a European trophy we would be claiming the higher ground on everyone who had not.
