A few city centre pubs worth checking out:

The Old Joint Stock

The Wellington

Head of Steam

The Shakespeare

The Windsor

The Colmore

All good boozers in town and away fans welcome with no bother from anyone.

Enjoy your day. Except etc etc
Have limited time, which is closest to New St?
It's one of those really long links so make sure you copy it all everyone 👍
Always fall down at this bit. Remind me where to find the link? Sos I’m rubbish.

So there is nothing now around the ground mate? Bit shit on away fans coming in on bus

The Shakespeare is literally 50 yards from the back exit of New St station. Spit and sawdust type place but serves it's purpose on a match day given it's proximity to the train station. The Briar Rose is a Wetherspoons just a few yards further up and there is actually a Wetherspoons in the station now too.

There's not a lot for home fans either these days! But away fans aren't catered for around VP anymore sadly.

However, if you don't mind a 12 mins walk from VP to Perry Barr there's a Wetherspoons called the Arthur Robertson.

This is a huge game for us - win it, and Europe is very definitely on.
Didn't impress me at all up here, and if the ref hadn't been a tit and fell for Cash's cheating, we would have won comfortably.
Hopefully Bologna will take them to extra time ( can't see it) .
Need to be on our game from the off, but winning is a possibility if we do.
It is a big game definitely.

Villa are a good side with an excellent manager imo and some dangerous players in their line up, but they should also be saying the same about us.

We got them during a terrible start for them and whilst I think if we’d kept 11 men on the park we may have took all 3 points it was a clear red card….reinildo was daft.

It’ll be a tough game, hopefully we will be at our best

That's because the bar's open. With warm and seats.
...well he might want a drink in the ground 45 mins before kick off or have a look around the ground...me and my lad go into away grounds hour or so before kick off, i don't drink. We watch the lads warm up sometimes or have a bit crack on in the concourse with friends etc. Not everyone needs to be sat in a seat for 3 hrs drinking before going into the ground👍

Driving down mate and parking in the Gee Business Centre - do you know if any pubs in walking distance from there or is there somewhere outside we could stop at on the way in and have a few then drive in and park up for the match? Crap that there's no beer in top concourse unfortunately.
