Villa away

Just reading some of the comments, there are no pubs by the ground so best plan around that.

Those driving, I read someone on here a few years ago talk about driving to Blake Street, which is right on the outskirts. There’s a nice pub right by Blake Street station and the train is 30 minutes to Aston station. That’s a good bet as you park hassle free and don’t have the stress of driving in and out. I would certainly recommend that. Blake Street is just off the A38.

Those on trains, I would stay in the city centre and either get the train or a taxi.

The nearest station is Witton.
It'a 4* boutique hotel, not a pub
There’s a Villa Tavern and an Aston Tavern. The Villa Tavern is about 20 minutes walk from the ground. I don’t think there’s any pubs that allow away fans.

Is the shuttle bus from Dudley St worth considering?

we've booked at a place called y international through just park. cost £15 though but fairly near. there's plenty of street parking off kingsbury road the other side of the m6 but it's a canny walk.

We’re the same, doesn’t seem too far from the ground. Frustrating there’s nowhere near the ground to get in and watch Ipswich/Boro match though

Those in town centre, Bacchus bar is half decent, as close to the station as you’ll get. I use it when I’m going to places like Wolves but no idea how busy it will get on home games. The Shakespeare depresses me.

me mate hasnt a got a ticket ... is there safe enough pub around Villa Park he can watch the game
The pubs are safe enough, the problem is getting in them. I’d wait until the game has kicked off before trying my luck.

The Witton arms is now 1000% a home fans only pub as I go in occasionally and there is no longer the away fan part segregation where away fans used to be out the back, a good few of us are going Briar rose spoons till just before 1 just up from new street station in town then 1.09 train to Witton which is a 5 minute walk to away end then.

There’s a bar in some sort of fanzone bit at side of Trinity Road entrance. Just grabbed a pint with no bother
