True. A lot of people who complain about H&S would be the first to hoy a claim in as well.
There are also lots of H&S stories accepted as gospel that are bullshit. A good example is the one that schools are not allowed to grit the paths when it is icy. It is repeated on here every year. It has been proven to be bullshit yet people still believe it to be true and worryingly, some schools might not even grit the paths for fear of getting sued.

A majority of people will tend to believe any old shit, even if it's proven in a dozen ways to be absolute bollocks, because it confirms their fears or prejudices. These people shouldn't have the vote because they're no qualified to decide their own future, let alone everyone else's.

What does intelligence have to do with being a good parent? Surely kindness and patience are more important qualities.
