its an odd set of circumstances, the victim was under the drink drive limit so could have only had what 2 drinks? he couldn't have been drunk.

sounds like he happened across the killer and tried to have a bit of banter with him and it turned tragic

Obviously we probably don’t have all the facts. Despite that I would bet a sizeable sum that
1. He doesn’t get done for murder. Extenuating circumstances as claimed racism. The victim can’t deny that either so any defence will play on that.
2. Coppers will be suspended, investigated, censured (if found guilty), lesson will be learned and I doubt they will even be dismissed.

It’s only an odd set of circumstances because a mentalist has stabbed someone to death, the interaction of calling each other bad man will happen up and down the country between 18 year olds a thousand times a night

of course its not helpful FFS. i've said 3 times, if it contributed significantly towards his death, then they should be punished. i imagine the main factor in the whole thing won't be the handcuffing error, it'll be how quick they called paramedics after arriving. hopefully it all comes out in the investigation

It sounds like the victim might have been racially profiled. Good police officers will usually listen to both sides before they feel the need to put handcuffs on somebody. Never mind somebody with life threatening stab wounds. Do we know the ethnicity of the arresting police officers?

i guess we'll find out through the investigation. i find it difficult to picture a set of circumstances where the police would handcuff one person just because another person has accused them of racism, if all other factors were taken out of it. which suggests to me that there are a myriad of other factors at play here that we don't know about

I’ve never heard anyone call people bad man mind. At least not in some sort of gangster greeting.

Then again, I’m not usually out at the same places as these youngsters - so maybe it does happen.

It’s still weird though. These aren’t even in a group, they’re walking solo and all of a sudden he’s calling him a bad man and a bitch.

If it’s banter, it’s pretty shit banter imo.

Again, not condoning the fact the other lad has stabbed him.

Why did they handcuff a lad who was covered in stab wounds and one wound was clear on his face? While believing everything the real criminal was saying. That's the perplexing thing here.

His murderer went out armed to the teeth with concealed weapons. There's only one reason anybody goes out carrying stuff like that. Hopefully he won't be coming out of prison till he's an old man. He certainly deserves it.

Would have to hear the officers' accounts. I would have thought that an ambulance should be priority if there was visible wounds / blood.

He'd been stabbed in the face so there was certainly wounds visible.
The police couldn't confirm either of the two involved claims, as at that time there was no proof. The mother had legged it with the murder weapon. Yet they arrested a man covered in wounds who was actually dying in front of them. While completely believing the word of the other one. This is what needs looking at.

I'm glad you find it difficult, because it's absolutely f***ing barmy. However this is what's being reported by numerous sources, and there is apparently footage that I'm sure will come out.

I’m extremely dubious about the circumstances and how they are being portrayed. I’ll wait until the full facts are delivered until I get outraged .
