Universal Studios UK

Good for the country but the weather and temperatures in Britain will always go against it. Main reason I enjoy universal studios was atleast waiting around was nice in the sun and warm
Weather in south UK is largely the same as Paris. Euro Disney does well enough, I'm sure this will too. At least I hope so.

I have been to Euro Disney in the winter and it was miserable like, totally agree with the lad who said it makes a big difference. That said I hope this comes off and does well.

Think there's an element of visiting Paris as well. Never fancied it myself, though have been to florida plenty of times

If only HS2 was going to exist in the north east, it could drop us off on the doorstep in 2hours. Could get their for open and get us home after close without too much bother.
Pffff.
I don't know the train network well enough to comment accurately but they may well put direct trains to it from a number of destinations. Even if that takes 3-4 hours it's still do-able for a day trip, though an overnight is probably going to be needed given there's likely a lot to do there. Currently from Newcastle I think you generally have to go via London to get to Bedford which isn't great.

Bedford is on the Sheffield/Derby/Leicester to London line

Woburn Forest Centre Parcs is five miles away from the proposed site. You could visit there for a break and, when you fancy a cheap day of activities, go to the theme park.
