That E.P he did with Stone Temple Pilots was brilliant.

Paul Heaton I think is well underrated as well.

Good shout. Compared to her early stuff it’s terrible but her pain and soul come right through. Strange Fruit being the perfect example.

I think it better portrays the pain and suffering of her life. I absolutely love it.

Chris Cornell - not sure if he's underrated as such, but never as bigged up as a lot of the less talented vocalists

perhaps not in the whole sceme of things but hugely respected in heavy rock circles.....possibly to the level of being overated ?

I love Mark Lanegan but he's not a good singer at all. One of the best voices out there though

That's exactly why I love it as well. How you can hear her pain through each word. My favorite collection still to this day is the Lady In Autumn: The Best of the Verve Years.
