***ANOTHER UPDATE***
Nazar has just spent an hour training with my son and his team.
Sent some photos through to his mam and she said (in Ukrainian, I had to use Google translate!), "Thank you for my son's smile".
Jesus man I'm a jibbering wreck. I hardly held it together speaking on the radio last night, now I'm a right state!
Thanks again everyone, the support is second to none.
Certainly was. He grabbed my lad and they were jumping around all over. Just wish I'd had my phone out!Fantastic. You should be really proud.
Was the lad celebrating with the rest of us when the equaliser went in?

Outstanding. I seen 2 mothers and their sons being led into the ground by Chris at just after 7PM on Tuesday and they all had smiles on their faces. It’s the first thing I said to owa lass (no) when I got in from the match. Everything they’ve been through and the community spirit of a football game seemed to really make a difference.Morning all,
Just a quick update this morning. As the donations have continued to very kindly come in I justed wanted everyone to know that along with the gofundme we have also had some private donations.
This means all in all we are approaching £3,000!
We are absolutely blown away to receive this amount in the matter of 4 days, and can't wait till we present this to the family.
I was told last night that Nazar's Dad, currently still in Ukraine, has been conscripted to the army but is yet to take up arms. He is currently looking after the extended family, I'm assuming mostly older relatives, and is unable to work, like many others across the country as the it has ground to a halt obviously.
Nazar's mum has expressed how she wants to send some of the government grant money back to her husband to help them survive, and for context, each £100 equates to more or less a months wages where they are from.
So the money we have raised means that she can send 'that' money back to help her extended family, and the amazing amount we have raised will help to support the family here for many months to come.
Thanks again to everyone who has donated and all the kind words of support.
