That would honestly be my view were it us. I have a few mates of the your persuasion and they are not enamoured by this at all.

Football is hanging by a thread IMO. The tortuous business of watching football in empty grounds, which might be with us for a long while yet, the concentration of money and power among a cabal of self enritching clubs and the catastrophic nature of most club's finances put the game in a position looking over a cliff edge. It's all about money, which is why this takeover will happen, but it's also why it doesn't take Cassandra to see the pop of the bubble coming.

Don’t think it will go pop at the top. And it would be typical that the mags join the top club of bankrolled few as the rest go pop

Not really.
If it happens fine. We might get better players and we might win something, although probably won't.
If it doesn't then we carry on making up the numbers. I am almost numb to it all nowadays. Live in hope we win something in my lifetime however realise it is getting less likely as each season goes by.
