its like when a supermarket does loss leaders to get people into the store and kill off local competition. once the competition is gone they can do what they like.
 
The biggest alarm bells for their takeover has to be Manquillo and Carroll being awarded new contracts. They’ve also extended Marty Longstaff contract. You can only increase your wage bill by 10% under FFP, so presuming ASM gets a hefty pay increase, they already won’t be too far off that, still got championship players on their books.
